When I saw this dress in the Dorothy Perkins sale, I had to have it. It reminds me of that striped Prada dress that was everywhere last summer, although the colors in mine aren't as vivid. But I don't care, it's super cute and I know I'll get multiple seasons' use out of it. Today I wore it with a straw tote, sunnies, and cute flats, but come fall, I can see it paired with black tights, a pretty cardigan, and maybe my heeled oxfords or boots. Now we just need some cool sweater weather to go with the cute outfit I've just thought up. ;)

Very Cute! I love how you made the fall colors still look very summery. This will definitely take you through a couple seasons like you said! Looking wonderful!

Those stripes and colors are so of the moment. I saw this over on tumblr and loved it! You look great. Tell the Kid he's doing great with that camera!
ReplyDeleteI immediately went to the DP wbsite to find this dress. That's how gorgeous it looks on you! Unfortunately it's not there but you look really lovely.
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog through Georgette at Grown and Curvy Woman. It seems you share my love of a good dress. In fact, I ordered this dress last month and haven't worn it yet. I was a little disappointed by how sheer the fabric is? Out of curiosity- what did you wear underneath and did you have any trouble with the sheerness?
ReplyDeleteHi Tashia! I definitely love a good dress, lol! Probably too much, actually, but anyway.. ;) I was a bit bummed to find that the dress wasn't lined, but I didn't find the dress too sheer to wear. I just wore my usual bike shorts underneath (it gets windy here in TX). When it gets cooler, I'll probably wear a slip or spanx under, for a bit more layering. Thanks for the follow, I love your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteAw thanks Nicky! I think I managed to scoop up one of the last ones, but DP always has cute dresses, so you'll find something great. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Katrina! I love the stripes, too! And I told the kid about your compliment, he got all embarrassed but had a huge smile. He's 10, so I'm assuming that's a good reaction? LOL :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gazel! I love it! :)
