30x30v2 RECAP

These aren't in any particular order, sorry! I used a collage maker and it jumbled them all up. :)

I couldn't get enough of: monochromatic outfits with a pop of color

Now that I see my 30x30v2 outfits all together, I can tell that I was definitely drawn to the tried and true combo of black and white with a pop of color (usually in the form of red, pink, or cobalt). Whether it was a colorful scarf, a bright handbag, a snazzy shoe, or a punchy lipstick, I'm really glad those little pops added some life to what otherwise might have been a very boring 30x30.    

I could have lived without: maxi skirt

I really thought I would have worn this more, but I was just really kind of stumped by it. There were days I did feel like rocking it but the wind outside convinced me otherwise. It probably doesn't help that it's also just a bit too loose around my waist, so I feel a bit not-pulled-together in it. Maybe I need to devote the time to taking it in, or maybe it's time to pass it on to a new home? Will have to think about it.

My least favorite outfits:  6, 14, 30

30x30 MVPs: ......drumroll please...... black leggings, jeans, tank tops!  

Thank goodness I chose the tank tops, because so many days it was warm enough for them! I'm glad I picked ones that had patterns, as I thought they added the visual interest that saved some of my outfits from being blah. Also, jeans. If I wasn't wearing jeans, I was probably wearing leggings. I really wanted to spruce up my 30x30 outfits with funky tights, but in the end, I just couldn't be bothered. So jeans it was! 

Overall, I think the 30x30 was a so-so success, and I'm just glad that I finally finished it. At the halfway point I was starting to feel a bit stifled, and I think not picking a bunch of different colors, patterns, or really unique pieces left me feeling less creative and just kind of ho-hum about the whole thing. And I can definitely see why it's ideal to make all 30 outfits in 30 days. The remix felt like it dragged on and made me less inspired to make fun outfits, which in turn made the time drag on into a 2 and a half month challenge. If I'm honest, probably the most fun part of the remix this time around was seeing Jess and Sarah's outfits. They always put a smile on my face. Until next time, ladies! ;)
